Working as a Managing Editor on a Beacon site has been an amazing experience. I highly recommend this position to anyone seriously interested in science writing or editing as a career. As Managing Editor, I've guided a team of writers and editors, interviewed scientists and written articles, edited and shaped content, and helped my team understand and convey science to a broader audience. Even more, I've had a direct impact on creating and developing a website, which is an experience I would not have had anywhere else.
